Star Colour makes contract debut
Ex-Hanworth team establishes manufacturing company
Star Colour Laboratories is a new name in contract manufacturing, developing and manufacturing colour cosmetics, toiletries and skin care products from high end to mass market and offering a service from development through to finished product.
The new company was formed by a team from Hanworth Laboratories, which had been in business for 36 years before closing in November last year. “In the economic climate we are a phoenix from the flames,” says Kirsty Simmons, senior manager on site and head of development. “But this is a really team effort. We are six people with 93 years experience between us in the cosmetics industry.”
The team approached Stargazer, a colour cosmetics company that had been a Hanworth Laboratories customer for over 25 years, and its owners Nader and Sasha Zanjani agreed to invest in the new company.
“We are versatile, innovative, approachable and very passionate about what we do,” adds Simmons.
