Supermodel to be face and body of the self tan brand in its first global advertising campaign

Self-tan brand St. Tropez has signed the British supermodel Kate Moss as its new brand ambassador. The signing forms part of a new global marketing strategy, which will see Moss appear in both print and digital advertising, and aims to create a more cohesive brand identity for St. Tropez.

“Kate Moss is naturally glamorous and epitomises the brand – it’s a natural fit,” commented Jessica Finch, Global Executive Brand Director for St. Tropez. “She’s coming into her own in beauty.”

Images show Moss modeling St.Tropez’ s ‘ultimate tan’ in a shoot inspired by poolside glamour and will feature in global print and online advertising, as well as in stores and salons. The campaign also features a social media drive, focused on Twitter, encouraging consumers to tweet about their self-tan experiences at #offtosttropez in return for the opportunity to win prizes including a holiday to St. Tropez.

The brand has also launched a new line of self-tanning products developed specifically for sensitive skins. The Sensitive range has little or no guide colour and has been formulated to be gentle on skin, as well as being hypoallergenic. It is also said to be suitable for pregnant women. There are three skus – a bronzing lotion, bronzing mousse and bronzing face lotion, as well as a salon treatment. Prices range from £22-£28.
