From crop tops to jelly shoe inspired nails, today’s teens and millennials have hailed the 1990s and 2000s as a trendsetting era.

For many, lip gloss will evoke memories of sticky hair ends, lips stuck to straws and avoiding any romantic advances.

But, like its consumers, lip glosses have grown up and the category is gearing up to reclaim its throne from its matte successor.
