Sephora partners with Google to bring at-home make-up tutorials

With over 81 million how-to related searches on YouTube last year, Google and Sephora are making it easier for customer to access online beauty videos

Beauty retailer Sephora and Google have collaborated to bring at-home beauty tutorials to customers through the search engine’s Home Hub.

Sephora’s YouTube channel offer beauty tutorials, with 1.1 million subscribers, however, the new service will allow customers to switch through its videos via hands-free voice activation.

On its channel, Sephora offers tutorials from contouring and eyebrow to foundation tips and smokey eyes.

To activate the platform customers can say to their device, “Google, play contouring videos by Sephora”, from there users can also to pause, skip ahead or go back on the video with their voice.

Customers can trial the Home Hub service across the retailers flagships, including those in Boston, Michigan, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, San Fransisco and San Jose stores.

Google’s Home Hub platform is now available to purchase from sephora.com and each of the flagships mentioned above.
