Senior Technician – South West – £25-30,000 (AE1815)

Are you an experienced lab technician with a strong sense of accuracy and attention to detail?

Do you have a love for all things cosmetics and personal care?

Joining this fast-paced and dynamic Personal Care R&D team, you will assist research scientists in developing new product opportunities.Familiarity with testing early-stage concepts is essential, as is a high level of focus and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced and have a successful track record of working within a GMP or GLP environment.You will have proven success in taking ownership of sensitive equipment and lab management duties.

Prior experience is critical in this role, as you will undertake multiple responsibilities, such as enacting procedures to ensure the correct handling of raw materials, prototypes and finished goods.

Experience working with personal care formulations is key to this role.

Working in an upstream research team, you must have the ability to manage multiple test briefs simultaneously. The ability to multi-task and prioritise the workload to meet daily targets whilst retaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

You will have robust technical knowledge, including familiarity with measurements such as particle size, surface tension, contact angle, pH, viscosity and experience using quantitative analysis techniques. Previous experience of using computer systems to handle data, and a methodical mindset will allow you to ensure a good standard of accuracy in your records.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with a proactive can-do attitude. You will be an excellent communicator, as you produce high-quality test reports, with a sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills.

You will be able to draw on previous experience and technical knowledge to devise and implement improvements in the lab.

Flexibility and the capability to work independently as well as within a team will enable you to adapt to changes in your workload in this fast-paced environment.
