US-based professional beauty distributor Sally Beauty has appointed a new accounting chief to its executive team.

Marlo Cormier, formerly at US fashion designer firm Fossil Group, has joined the company as Senior VP, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer and will serve as part of Sally Beauty’s senior leadership team.

Prior to her role with Fossil, Cormier spent seven years with professional services network Deloitte as its Manager in Accounting and Audit Services, before serving 12 years with Callaway Golf as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer.

“Marlo is an excellent addition to Sally Beauty Holdings’ executive bench,” said Aaron Alt, President of Sally Beauty Supply and Chief Financial Officer.

“With her deep financial and accounting experience supporting companies in retail and wholesale distribution, we expect her to help us propel Sally Beauty Holdings through our Covid-19 reset and our continuing transformation.”

The firm’s transformation programme involves diversifying its retail and digital capabilities.

This includes improving Sally Beauty’s digital commerce potential, expanding concept stores and driving its integrated mobile app.
