Saint-Gobain Group sells SGD

The Saint-Gobain Group has agreed to sell 100% of Saint-Gobain Desjonquères and its subsidiaries

As part of an ongoing business development strategy, speciality bottle producer, the Saint-Gobain Group has agreed to sell 100% of Saint-Gobain Desjonquères and its subsidiaries to a consortium of two investment funds, Sagard and Cognetas. The Saint-Gobain Group will also reinvest a 20% stake in the business.

Last year, Saint-Gobain Desjonquères and its subsidiaries achieved consolidated sales of €607m and operating profit of €50m. The global business has production sites in France, Germany, Spain, the US, Brazil, China and Russia and employs around 4,500 people. The transaction values the business at €690m.
