Beauty brand Revlon has tapped American chef and author Katie Lee to front the campaign for its new vegan hair colour line.

As brand ambassador, Lee will appear in TV and digital ads, and share her experiences of the products via her social media channels.

As well as an accomplished chef and food critic, Lee wrote her first novel Groundswell in 2011 and has co-hosted a number of food shows, including Top Chef, The Kitchen and Beach Bites with Katie Lee.

The new Total Color range is said to feature a new colour formula blended with nourishing oils and botanicals, such as cannabis sativa seed oil, without the use of ammonia, parabens, sulfates and silicones.

Commenting on the new range, Revlon’s Global Brand President, Silvia Galfo, said: “Revlon Total Color represents a significant milestone in clean beauty with real innovation in the hair colour category.

“Clean beauty has primarily been about make-up and skin care, but now consumers have a choice in at-home colour without having to compromise product performance.”

Retailing at US$7.99, customers can shop the 16-shade range via revlon.com.
