A promising opportunity to join a leading brand within VMS who manufacturer their own product as well.
Reporting to the managing director and working closely with internal teams across sales, quality and operations.
You will be responsible for all the efficient procurement of raw materials, packaging, goods and services from approved sources and the best competitive prices.
Other Responsibilities will include:
- Management of stock levels ensuring control is maintained.
- Maintaining strong cost savings & budgets improving product profit margins.
- Ensuring raw materials are ordered and delivered in line with Production forecast and delivered on time and in full.
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments on stock ensuring all Stakeholders are informed of any key issue.
- Maintain awareness of Key Ingredient price trends & share knowledge to Internal Teams.
This individual need to be confident and a good relationship builder, have a purchasing background and experience in the food manufacturing environment.
CIPS level 3 or above also required.
