Cuban-American rapper Armando Pérez, better known as Pitbull, is launching an eponymous fragrance duo for men and women. Created by Givaudan and marketed by Jacavi Worldwide and Parlux, Pérez’s global licensing partner and fragrance licensee respectively, both fragrances are available in edt format, with an additional aftershave and deodorant for the men’s fragrance. Prices start from $30 for 30ml, $36 for a 100ml aftershave and $14 for deodorant.

The male fragrance has head notes of bergamot, mandarin, cardamom and sage, heart notes of violet, woods and verbena and base notes of vetiver, musk, tonka bean and amber, while the female fragrance has head notes of raspberries, red apples and mandarin, heart notes of nectarine, freesia and jasmine, and base notes of creamy woods and musk.

The official launch will be at Pitbull’s New Year’s Eve concert at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, but pre-selling will begin on 1 December, exclusively via Amazon.com until Valentine’s Day. It will be the online retail giant’s first exclusive prestige launch.

The scents are also being promoted via ads on Kindles, and on social and digital media, including in-video product placement.
