Nivea, part of the Beiersdorf portfolio, is benefiting from strong sales among Chinese consumers through jd.com.

The skin care brand became one of the first global strategic partners of jd.com at the end of 2015, and today jd.com is one of Nivea’s biggest online customers in China.

Chinese Nivea products are sold to Chinese consumers via the website, while German Nivea products are available to this consumer base via jd.com’s cross-border e-commerce platform JD worldwide.

The success of the partnership was recently marked when Nivea was awarded Best Business Partner 2016 by jd.com.

The award was presented to John Zhang, General Manager of Beiersdorf China, by the Presdient of JD FMCG Division Carol Feng, at the company’s annual FMCG supplier meeting.

Zhang said: “We are incredibly proud to get this recognition from jd.com against the backdrop of strong Chinese and international cosmetic brands.

“Such an achievement must be seen in connection with our incredible sales performance on jd.com.”

Nivea was the only skin care brand among the ten nominated brands from FMCG.
