Colour cosmetics brand Mary Kay has strengthened its operations team with two new executive appointments.

Chaun Harper will take on the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Manufacturing Officer, assuming responsibility for the brand’s global manufacturing operations, global inventory control, supply planning, transportation and global equity.

Harper formerly served at L’Oréal USA for more than 16 years after completing a degree in Chemistry from Arkansas Tech University.

Meanwhile, Lucy Gildea, formerly of P&G, will lead Mary Kay’s research and development operations as Senior Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer.

Since joining in 2017, Gildea has been working to execute the company’s global product strategy and innovation pipeline.

“In a relatively short period of time, both Chaun and Lucy have made significant contributions and proven to be instrumental in Mary Kay’s research, development and supply chain operations,” said Deborah Gibbons, Mary Kay’s CEO.

“In their new roles as members of the company’s executive team, Chaun and Lucy will work to ensure global and regional alignment of strategy and plans for Mary Kay products.

“We are proud to appoint Chaun and Lucy to these executive positions knowing their leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we build on our efforts to enrich women’s lives worldwide.”

This year, the brand is celebrating 55 years in business and currently operates in 40 markets worldwide.
