New initiative to target packaging that is destined for landfill
British high-street retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) is installing collection points for the return of non-recyclable packaging such as cosmetics tubes, sachets, crisp packets and black plastic food trays.
These items are currently not recycled by local councils and usually end up in landfill.
