The cosmetics powders specialist is anticipated to strengthen MS BEAUTiLAB’s product assortment

MS BEAUTiLAB, a France-headquartered maker of beauty products for brands, has strengthened its position in the make-up category with the purchase of Gi Picco’s, the Italian contract manufacturer specialising in cosmetic powders.

The implementation of a solid skin care and make-up strategy, together with international development, is said to be in line with MS BEAUTiLAB’s ‘Pulse 2025’ strategy.

Olivier Salaun, CEO of MS BEAUTiLAB, described the acquired company's technology as "next-generation in powder manufacturing".

He added: “They offer incredibly creative and attractive solutions that are influenced by the world of design, art and Italian fashion.

“They are also very much anchored in a sustainable and economic reality to respond to brands globally. It is a real pleasure for our shareholders, our teams and myself to welcome Gi Picco’s’ teams to our Group and I am thrilled with this major step in the implementation of our Pulse 2025 strategic plan.”

Among the Italy-based company’s specialties is its top injection technique, which makes it possible to formulate powders from a mix of solid and liquids.

“This allows for a more creamy, luxurious and luminous formula, which is higher in iridescence than pressed powders,” explains Irene Inguaggiato, General Manager of GI Picco’s.
