Lovéa acquired by owner of French soap brand Le Petit Olivier

The sun care brand will join La Phocéenne de Cosmétique's portfolio

French company La Phocéenne de Cosmétique, best known for its soap brand Le Petit Olivier, has acquired sun care brand Lovéa from Biocos in order to boost its presence in the sun care market.

Both companies are SMEs in a sector dominated by bigger players. Lovéa turns over €11.5m per year, while Le Petit Olivier is almost twice the size, with turnover of €22m in 2016.

“It's a big deal for a company of our size,” said Eric Renard, co-founder of Le Petit Olivier.
