Merger aims to expand business in North America and create new global channels

Personal care ingredients supplier Lipo Chemicals has announced it has merged with Vantage Specialty Chemicals, a producer of speciality chemicals. The terms of the agreement will include Lipo and its affiliates: Ruger Chemical and Lipo Technologies, as well as Lipo’s affiliate companies in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, France, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, South Africa and Venezuela. Vantage’s portfolio includes Vantage Oleochemicals and Lambent Technologies.

Lipo and its affiliates will now operate as a division of Vantage Specialty Chemicals but its headquarters will remain in New Jersey. The current management will also remain with the business.

“We are very excited to partner with Vantage,” commented Craig Frischling, president Lipo Chemicals and Ruger Chemical. “Lipo’s customers will benefit from the added resources of the combined company while maintaining Lipo’s focus and strength in the personal care market.”
