L'Oréal's YSL Beauty and British fashion label Stella McCartney have made a mutual decision to end their licence agreement after the contract expires on 12 September this year.

As a result of the decision, L’Oréal will focus on growing its other brands while Stella McCartney will continue pursuing its fragrance and beauty business, according to an official statement from L'Oréal.

The partnership between the two brands began in 2003, when L’Oréal released the first fragrance for Stella McCartney, named Stella Eau de Parfum. Since then, there have been several new releases for the brand, including the launch of L.I.L.Y, which was released last year as a new pillar scent for the brand.
