Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics has introduced a festive beauty collection inspired by children’s favourite Scrooge from Dr Seuss’ The Grinch.
The festive line stars a range of colour cosmetics with seasonal shade names, housed in packaging that pays homage to the Christmas icon.
At the centre of the range is the 16-pan eyeshadow palette, featuring metallic and matte shades in colours from bronze and golds to taupes and browns.
Meanwhile, the brand’s new Shadow Sticks, available in soft lime, icy pink, gold and lavender, are designed to glide over the eyelids, delivering a metallic finish.
The product can also double up as an eyeliner.
Skus for lips in the Kylie X The Grinch line include six Lipstick sets, two Lip Kits and High Gloss products, as well as a Liquid Liner Pen.
Completing the range is a single highlighter, in opalescent green gold, and blusher in soft candy pink with a gold shimmer.
“I was so excited to partner with Dr. Seuss on this collection,” said the beauty mogul.
“I have so many memories of reading How the Grinch Stole Christmas every year during the holidays, and now my daughter loves it.
“There are so many great colours and shapes to play up with the theme and I loved the creative process of developing the products, picking the shade names and designing the packaging.”
Jenner added: “I wanted to make sure there was a perfect mix of shimmers and matte hues for the lip and eye products, while also featuring the fun green, red and golds for the holidays, so the looks can be so versatile.”
How the Grinch Stole Christmas was published in 1957 and adapted into a film nine years later.
The story depicts the Grinch and his loyal dog Max who live on the outskirts of Whoville.
Here, in the caves of Mount Crumpet, the Grinch takes much aggravation from his neighbours who celebrate the Yuletide season in style.
Since then, the film has been adapted for the 21st century and depicted by Hollywood A-lister Jim Carrey.
The collection retails from US$18 and is available at kyliecosmetics.com.
