Aston Chemicals is a leading distributor of ingredients to the European Cosmetic and Toiletry industries. We source our products from around the world and supply them to multinationals, contract manufacturers and brand names. With 26 employees in the UK and 7 in Poland, we are a small, dynamic company where it is possible to influence decision-making and really make a difference.

Aston Chemicals’ Supply Chain department is responsible for shipping raw materials from around the world into the UK and Poland, and on to customers. We provide exceptionally high levels of customer service in terms of pricing, packaging, lead times, documentation, resolution of problems, and communication with customer personnel.

Due to the continuing expansion of our business, we have a vacancy for someone with great problem-solving and communication skills to join our International Supply Chain Management team. The successful candidate will be supported by extensive training and enthusiastic colleagues. There is great scope for personal and professional development within this role. The role includes:

• Liaising with raw material manufacturers based around the world.
• Using information from customers to determine what we need to purchase from our suppliers.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with manufacturers to resolve any issues.
• Liaising with customers based in the UK, and with our Polish office.
• Working with customers and colleagues to resolve any customer supply issues.
• Helping to manage stock levels to ensure that we can meet customer requirements quickly.
• Managing complex customer schedules to ensure 100% On Time In Full delivery to customers.
• Learning about each role in the Supply Chain team to understand all aspects of our international distribution.
• Helping to develop Company strategy regarding supply chains and logistics.

You will have:

• A strong educational background.
• Knowledge of IT and Microsoft software
• A rigorous approach to problem solving.
• The ability and desire to communicate with people from many different regions and cultures.
• The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

You must be:

• Organised, methodical and thorough, with great attention to detail
• Pro-active, approaching all tasks and issues with urgency and enthusiasm
• Numerate and accurate, able to manage complicated situations effectively
• Self-motivated and autonomous
• A clear and concise communicator and a team player
• Customer service-oriented
