The Indian male grooming market is set to expand by more than a fifth in the next five years. While skin, hair and body care products for men are predicted to remain niche sectors, grooming as a whole is forecast to become a major market in India.

A new report from Research and Markets has shed light on the growing sector. The company predicts that the Indian male grooming market will grow at a CAGR of 22% through to 2020. The increase is thought to be put down to a growing desire among Indian men to look well-groomed, increasing per capita income and rapid urbanisation. India’s middle class is rapidly growing and improved distribution is broadening access to products.
