The company, which brought the fashion designer’s brand to market earlier this year, said the takeover will strengthen its position in bringing beauty to the masses

Beauty and wellness incubator brand HatchBeauty has acquired the brand portfolio of Duncan Cosmetics.

Also known as Duncan Enterprises, the group’s roster includes Lique, Tattoo Junkie, Remi Rose and BE Beauty Essentials, covering Gen X, Millennial and Gen Z consumers.

The Los Angeles-based beauty company said taking on the brands would strengthen its position as a leader in bringing beauty and wellness to the masses.

“We are excited to welcome the Duncan Cosmetics team into the HatchBeauty brands family,” said the group’s President Preston Bottomy.

“This acquisition strengthens our commitment to ensuring consumers everywhere have access to affordable and efficacious beauty and wellness products.

“In the months ahead, we look forward to sharing expertise between our teams and leveraging a broader brand portfolio across our network of retail partners.”

NatureWell, Found, Orlando Pita Play and Baby Phat Beauty, the beauty brand of fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons (pictured), currently reside in HatchBeauty’s notebook.

Meanwhile, in early 2021, the group is expected to launch a celebrity-founded skin care and supplement range.

Duncan Cosmetics’ President and CEO, Larry Hermansen, added: “This acquisition will maximise new product innovation and sales distribution for both companies and create a powerhouse of beauty and wellness brand products for our consumers and retail partners.

“Our shared vision, values and passion for the beauty industry align perfectly with HatchBeauty Brands, and together we are going to do big things.”
