IMCD strengthens business in Australasia
Acquires Capitol Ingredients Australia
Specialty chemicals distributor IMCD is continuing its acquisition strategy with the purchase of Capitol Ingredients Australia. The Sydney based distributor covers the nutriceutical, personal care, food and pharmaceutical markets and will be run as a separate division of IMCD ANZ.
The acquisition will bring a broader product range, greater market coverage and enhanced technical support, according to the two companies.
“This is an important step for IMCD as the acquisition will bring a significant number of new principal partners into the IMCD business,” said Rene den Hertog, MD of IMCD ANZ.
This is the second acquisition for IMCD this year. In January it acquired 100% of the shares of Chemimpo South Africa (Pty) Ltd, through its subsidiary IMCD South Africa.
