IFF has merged with DuPont’s Nutrition & Biosciences Business in a move expected to drive long-term growth

Multi-industry supplier IFF has launched a new brand identity to reinforce its leadership role in the global value chain for consumer goods and commercial products, following the completion of its merger with DuPont’s Nutrition & Biosciences business.

The move to bring together IFF and DuPont’s Nutrition & Biosciences arm was announced in May 2020 and completed 1 February. The combined company continues to operate under the name IFF.

The merger is said to create a global leader in ingredients and solutions for the Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care and Health & Wellness markets with estimated pro forma revenue of more than US$11bn.

The complementary portfolios will give the company leadership within the taste, texture, scent, nutrition, enzymes, cultures, soy proteins and probiotics ingredients categories.

As such, IFF’s new brand identity and tagline will be ‘Where science and creativity meet’, said to capture IFF’s longstanding focus on the interplay between artistry and science.

The company’s purpose, meanwhile, is ‘Applying science and creativity for a better world’, which reflects its commitment to pushing boundaries for a more sustainable future.

Thirdly, IFF’s central vision has been revealed as ‘Be the partner for essential solutions’, reflecting its leadership role in the global value chain for consumer goods.

IFF has further announced three commitments underpinning its brand: Question Everything (to shake things up and forge a new path); Champion Creators (to convert ideas into impact); and Do More Good (to acknowledge the journey to doing better for both people and the planet).

The company’s business divisions will now be configured as Nourish (combining taste, food and beverage), Scent, Health & Biosciences and Pharma Solutions.
