Consumers are increasingly socially and environmentally savvy, with high expectations. Whether it’s the food they consume or the cosmetics they use, they are looking to reduce and refine their use of declining resources.

The need for sustainable and traceable natural ingredients is imperative, as they make a stand for the social issues that are important to them.

By using new technologies and clever formulations it is possible to move with the trends and create products that offer both functionality and green credentials, and which do not impact the environment.

The theme of the SCS Formulate exhibition 2017 was the 'Future of Formulation' with three trends presented: future proof, perfect match and life balance.
