Here he talks to Cosmetic Business about how new owner Natura Cosmeticos might be able to help The Body Shop revive its spirit – but some tough decisions will need to be made.

"The Body Shop has found its ideal home in Brazilian cosmetics group, Natura Cosméticos, after they acquired the environmentally conscious and sustainable beauty brand for $1.1bn.

This is a sizable sum for a brand that has been underperforming since it joined the L’Oréal Group in 2006.

There is no doubt that Natura has great plans for The Body Shop, but it will be interesting to see how the Brazilian cosmetics giant will turn the business around, improve sales and gain a greater market share of the sizeable
