The luxury London pharmacist’s service will give consumers same or next-day results

Luxury high street pharmacy John Bell & Croyden has unveiled a new high-speed Covid-19 test in-store.

The pharmacist to the Queen said the service will give customers same-day or next-day results from their test.

Rolling out today, the test, launched in partnership with The Regenerative Clinic, will be available at the retailer’s Wigmore Street shop, London, and at its Lloyds Pharmacy concession in Selfridges’ Oxford Street store.

“We hope that by offering this to our local community, we can provide additional support to our health workers and expand testing capacity at a critical time of need, and hopefully provide reassurance to people as we head into winter,” said John Bell & Croyden’s General Manager, Alexander Johnston, speaking about the £199 service.

The group also said it hopes to alleviate pressure on the nation’s health service with the facility and will improve its home test kits, with customers able to access faster results.

Simon Checkley, CEO of The Regenerative Clinic, added: “We recently set up our own private lab to help circumnavigate the backlog that we are seeing across London, and are delighted to partner with John Bell & Croyden to offer customers in the area the fastest turnaround times available when it comes to testing.

“Having experienced some delays in test returns from sending out samples to already very busy laboratories, we decided to take the step of investing in our own facility.”

“This not only eases the burden on approved laboratories, which are used for NHS testing, but also gives broader access to first rate on-site analysis right in the very heart of central London.”

The announcement follows the introduction of John Bell & Croyden’s ‘Fit to Fly’ Covid-19 test for customers to provide a negative result before they travel.

The test is applicable to consumers who are not exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms and should be booked online via johnbellcroyden.co.uk.
