Henkel extends portfolio with new vegan and sustainable brand launch

Nature Box is the German consumer goods’ new venture and will stock five collections of products featuring pressed oils

German consumer goods company Henkel has announced a new vegan and sustainably-sourced beauty brand.

Nature Box’s line-up of five collections, features oils extracted from fruits and nuts, including coconut, avocado, apricot, almond and macadamia nut.

Meanwhile, oils are extracted through the cold pressing method, which involves pressurising the ingredient, without heat, to reveal the oils.

The products are also said to be free from sulphates, silicones, parabens and artificial colourants, with 11 products for hair and 11 for body.

Commenting on the launch Xenia Barth, VP of Marketing for Henkel, said: “Nature Box formulas with cold pressed oils keep the skin from drying out and are nourishing, and refining, making skin and hair both healthy looking and soft.”

The brand will also reflect Henkel’s sustainability efforts, supporting farmers in cultivating raw materials.

In addition it will also collaborate with development organisation Solidaridad in and effort to produce sustainable palm oil, which is found in Nature Box’s products.

“A product’s origin and production should be as transparent and sustainable as possible,” said Martina Spinatasch, VP of R&D for Beauty Care North America at Henkel.

“Nature Box reflects our commitment here at Henkel to uphold these important values.”

The full product portfolio includes shampoos, conditioners, treatments for hair, body washes, lotions, butters and liquid hand soap.
