Luxury British retailer is putting faith in high street retail by adding to fleet of dedicated beauty stores

Harrods’ fleet of H Beauty stores is spanning more corners of the UK with a new Bristol, UK, store set to open this spring.

The British retailer’s growing number of dedicated beauty destinations has reached new heights since it cut the ribbon on its first outlet at Lakeside Essex, UK, in September 2020.

Harrods’ second store – described as an ‘experimental wonderland’ – opened in Milton Keynes seven months later, and was said to offer product listings that were selected with the local community in mind.

Just in time for the busy Christmas trading period, the heritage brand made its Scotland debut, with a H Beauty store hitting the high streets of Edinburgh.

Harrods made the conscious decision to roll out its entourage of stores outside of the UK capital, where its famous Knightsbridge store is located, in an attempt to attract new customers from around the UK.

Annalise Fard, Director of Beauty, Fine Jewellery & Watches and Home at Harrods, described H Beauty as a “significant addition to the beauty landscape”.

“I see beauty as the entry point into luxury and it’s very exciting to be able to take the excitement and engagement for beauty and really deliver it to a customer on a wider platform,” she said.

“Harrods has vast authority and strong brand relationships within the beauty industry which has provided us with the opportunity to offer H Beauty customers both well-recognised brands that they know and love very much directly from Knightsbridge as well as an exciting array of entirely new brands that can only be found at H Beauty.”

A new store in Newcastle’s Metrocentre is also expected to open in future.
