Guess introduces new moisturising denim range

Clothing range is said to soften, smooth and firm the skin

Fashion brand Guess has launched a new range of denim clothing said to moisturise the skin.

The Jeancare range hugs the figure, while its technical fabric, called Slimtex, releases high performance skin care actives that moisturise the skin on contact.

The actives include vitamin E and gingko biloba extracts to improve blood circulation while sea kelp maintains elasticity for firmer skin and a slimmer look. The fabric also contains a subtle lavender scent in the form of microcapsules. The capsules are said to burst due to friction when the wearer moves, creating a slow-release scent.

Consumers will continue to experience the moisturising effects after several washes and the fabric is available in crop tops and zipped shirts as well as slim fit skirts and trousers. The items are available in two shades: white and light blue.

The Jeancare range is part of Guess’ #Smartguess collection which launched last year. The brand is embracing the latest technology available in denim. So far the range is only available in the US.

This innovation follows the launch of Wrangler’s Denim Spa jeans in 2013. The range included three finishes: Aloe Vera, Olive Extract and the cellulite-fighting Smooth Legs. Moisturising fabric is also currently in the form of tights.
