Black soft touch paper has been used to reflect the product’s formula

LVMH-owned beauty and fashion house Givenchy worked with packaging company Pure Trade to house its luxury Le Soin Noir Crème.

Pure Trade opted to use a soft touch black paper for the outer packaging, as well as the inner blister.

The material was chosen to mirror the product’s black formula, which is achieved with a blend of algae black sap.

Givenchy’s logo has been embossed and hot-stamped on top of the box, which is said to underline the brand’s strong identity.

Pure Trade’s beauty portfolio comprises more than 60 brands including Viktor & Rolf, Caudalie and Giorgio Armani.

The company has designed make-up palettes for Clarins, Guerlain, Dior and YSL Beauté, and retail packaging for Lancôme and Shiseido.

Givenchy’s Le Soin Noir Crème retails at £289 from Harrods.
