Givaudan first half sales climb 5.7%

The Swiss fragrance and flavour giant has seen solid sales increases across both of its core divisions


Swiss fragrance and flavour giant Givaudan has posted a 5.7% increase in its sales for the first six months of 2013. Sales reached CHF 2.23bn, off the back of solid sales increases across both of its core divisions. In the company’s Fragrance Division, sales hit CHF 1.05bn, growing 5.5% on last year’s figure, while sales in the Flavour Division reached CHF 1.18bn, an increase of 5.8% on a like for like basis.

Finally, net income also made healthy gains during the period, increasing 35.5% to CHF 271m compared with CHF 200m last year.
