Former Lauder exec joins Murad

Former Lauder exec Suzanne Dawson has joined Murad as chief marketing officer.

Former Lauder exec Suzanne Dawson has joined Murad as chief marketing officer. Dawson will be responsible for driving brand growth and equity through global initiatives, identifying new market opportunities, driving product development, increasing consumer engagement and developing an overall growth strategy for the company.

"Suzanne's global experience and expertise will be highly beneficial to Murad," said Richard Murad, general manager of Murad. "With her entrepreneurial spirit and proven track record, I am confident that Suzanne will play a crucial role in leading the overall growth strategy for the company and will successfully drive brand growth, which will allow the company to continue to transform the skin and lives of current and future customers around the world."

Dawson comes to Murad from Estee Lauder Group and has more than 25 years experience in the beauty and cosmetic industries and, having worked on 3 continents, brings a global perspective to the company. Most recently, Dawson was the vp, global innovation, where she was responsible for corporate strategy of the hair care and natural & green categories. Prior to that, she joined Aveda Corporation as Executive Director, Global Spa Development and was subsequently promoted to vp, global marketing in 2005.
