Former L'Oréal brand executive Christian Chopra has been appointed as the President of male grooming company Scotch Porter.

Chopra’s role will see him managing the company's business operations and growth strategies, as well work on implementing new systems and processes.

“I am very excited to be joining the Scotch Porter team,” said Chopra.

“I have had the opportunity to witness the CPG and beauty industry evolve from placing emphasis on simply providing a good product to an intense focus on brands that are more than the products they provide, but also mission and value driven.”

While at L'Oréal, Chopra managed product marketing for Lancôme skin care.

Before joining Scotch Porter, Chopra worked as the General Manager of Consumer Beauty at Henkel Canada Corporation.

In this role he spearheaded the division’s innovation strategy.

"Chopra brings over a decade of expertise in scaling consumer beauty brands and valuable strategic planning skills to our senior leadership team that we believe will guide and advance the organisation,” said Calvin Quallis, founder and CEO of Scotch Porter.

Scotch Porter recently extended its distribution channels beyond D2C, after it entered into partnerships with American retailers Target, Walmart, CVS and Macys.

In 2022, the brand also announced the completion of US$11m in Series B equity financing, led by Pendulum Holdings, to expand its hair care collection.
