French skin care brand Biotherm has appointed US model Emily DiDonato as a Global Ambassador for its Life Plankton range.

The 27-year-old joins supermodel Christy Turlington-Burns and Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel in the line-up.

DiDonato will make her campaign debut for the brand in June.

She said: “I am so happy to join the Biotherm family. I first started using Biotherm when my life was only travel.

“Their Plankton Essence was a transformation for that dry, right ‘can my skin handle any more’ feeling.”

Commenting on the appointment, Biotherm’s General Manager David Fridlevski, said: “Emily’s personal interest in Biotherm, her highly active, loving nature lifestyle, make her the ideal ambassador for Biotherm’s healing efficacy.

“She’s not only an influential opinion shaper in the field of skin care, but also in healthy living. With the engagement with her community, she’s an absolutely natural choice.”

The Columbia psychology student has an Irish, Italian and Native American heritage, and was scouted for a career in modelling aged ten.

She landed her first job as the face of Guess? in 2008 and has walked in Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton shows.
