Dollar Shave Club has appointed four new executives to its team.

The hiring spree welcomes Alan Wizemann, Target and Lululemon’s former Executive as Chief Digital Officer and Danny Miles, Nike’s former Technology Executive, as the brand’s first Chief Technology Officer.

Meanwhile, formerly from Nordstrom and Gap, Gloria Synn has been named as the brand’s VP of Member Strategy; and finally David Kujda, previously PayPal’s Executive Director of Product Design & User Experience, will take on the role of VP of Experience Design.

Michael Dubin, Dollar Shave Club’s CEO, said: “These hires join our leadership team at an exciting time and we believe they will be strategic drivers of DSC’s continuing success.

“These impressive teams are building exciting capabilities that will give our members great flexibility, news features and exposure to different forms of content.”

Wizemann added: “I couldn’t be more exited about joining the Dollar Shave Club team with such a high level of growth and excitement around this industry-disrupting brand.

“I have long admired DSC’s brand, products, content and culture and I’m looking forward to uniting the talented teams across member strategy, digital product, design and member engagement to help collaboratively learn and continually exceed our members’ expectations as we take this to the next level.”

The brand’s staff numbers have grown by 25% in the last 12 months and as a result it has expanded its California office to a 50,000 soft office.

Miles, said: “It’s great to be part of a brand where everything we do is centred around the needs of the member.

“As technologists, we’re going to deliver the capabilities that connect our members to the most personally relevant DSC experiences for them and enable our business to continuously learn and evolve with this members’ needs.”

Since his appointment Miles has scaled the company’s engineering team to over 75 engineers and data scientists and prepared platforms for global expansion.

Dollar Shave Club hopes these new appointments will fuel growth through its proprietary technology, which powers the direct-to-consumer e-commerce site.
