Dollar General to broaden multi-cultural beauty offering

US retailer hosts A Day of Beauty to launch new products

US chain store Dollar General recently held an event called A Day of Beauty, in the Music City Center, Davidson Ballroom in Nashville.

The event highlighted the latest hair and make-up products offered at Dollar General and included beauty tips from experts representing multi-cultural beauty brands, an area which the retailer revealed plans to expand into.

Makia Embrey, Dollar General's Senior Manager, Customer Insights, said: "We are introducing an array of new multi-cultural hair and beauty products at A Day of Beauty and adding these products to our store shelves at select Dollar General stores, giving our customers more selection and variety as they shop with us for products that will help them look their best and stretch their budget."

Representatives at the event included spokespeople from Advanced Beauty Care, Beauty 21 Cosmetics, Bronner Brothers, KISS Products, L'Oréal USA, Luster, Maybelline/Garnier, Revlon Pro and Unilever.
