Development Chemist - West Midlands, UK - Up to £35K

Lavandi Talent is currently working with an amazing cosmetics & toiletries manufacturing brand who are looking for an experienced Development Chemist to join their fantastic team! This role is an amazing opportunity to join a global manufacturing company and grow within the company

Roles & Responsibilities

• Formulate products for trials, tests and customers, ensuring high standard of GLP & maintaining accurate records of development testing.
• Liaise with suppliers and fragrance houses to ensure full use and knowledge of ingredients and technology, keeping up to date with new ingredients and opportunities.
• Leadership of multiple projects running simultaneously, engaging with internal teams including supply chain, manufacturing & quality teams.
• Dual sourcing raw materials to approve alternate suppliers, assisting with Environmental Monitoring program and other technical administration tasks.
• Be the FPOC for 1st productions/Scale up of own accounts & projects.

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or similar, as well as 3-5 years within Cosmetics Industry.
• Understanding of EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC No. 1223/2009).
• Strong computer skills with a full working knowledge of MS Office.
• Excellent time management skills, with an attention to detail and an analytic mind.
