Global strategy to develop and distribute iconic luxury fragrances

UK-based Designer Parfums says it has completed the acquisition of the Jean Patou business from P&G Prestige in a move it says is in line with a global strategy to develop and distribute iconic luxury fragrances and maximise potential marketing opportunities across a wider marketplace.

“I am truly delighted and excited by this great addition to our collection of brands,” commented Designer Parfums’ md Dilesh Mehta. “We will reaffirm the Jean Patou heritage and credentials across our global markets and reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading fragrance houses. Jean Patou has a unique and specialised image and equity. A niche market expert such as Designer Parfums is ideally placed to ensure the brand fulfills its commercial potential.”

Designer Parfums is part of the Shaneel Enterprises Group, which currently owns or holds licenses for luxury fragrance brands including Agent Provocateur, Jean Louis Scherrer, Aigner Parfums and Worth.

Jean Patou classic fragrances include Joy and Sublime and Designer Parfums says it will be announcing plans for further development of the brand soon.
