The new SenzaGen GARDskin test has an accuracy level of 82%

A scientific study has proven that SenzaGen’s new GARDskin allergy test is the most accurate animal-free testing method on the market.

With an accuracy level of 82%, it outperforms other tests such as DPRA, KeratinoSens (ARE-Nrf2 luciferase) and h-CLAT, which have lower accuracy results ranging between 55% and 69%.

The study was carried out by David Roberts at the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Science at Liverpool John Moores University and published in the Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology journal.

SenzaGen’s CEO Anki Malmborg Hager said: “This recently published scientific study shows that GARDskin can give producers and contract laboratories a possibility to use one single test to evaluate their substances with even better accuracy than a combination of several test methods.

“GARDskin has the potential to make testing of chemicals more efficient with respect to time, resources and quality.”

The GARDskin experiment consists of 200 biomarkers to test changes in gene expression and can classify CLP Class1A and 1B chemical substances.

SenzaGen also recently submitted its validation report for GARDskin’s accompanying test GARDpotency, which together can sub-categorise sensitisers according to CLP/GHS classifications.
