Coty snaps up former Revlon Chief Scientific Officer

Coty has appointed Daniel Ramos as its new Chief Scientific Officer, effective 15 September.

Based in New Jersey, US, the former Revlon employee will soon report directly to Coty CEO Camillo Pane and will be a member of the Executive Committee.

Ramos started his R&D career in P&G Venezuela before taking on the UK and Japan.

He then moved to Reckitt Benckiser where he was VP for R&F Health Care, before joining Revlon.

Pane, said: “Daniel brings over 20 years of successful international consumer goods R&D experience.

“He has a strong track record in driving growth through consumer-led innovations and in building organisational capacity and capability.

“Daniel has experience in both emerging and developed markets, having worked and lived in Europe, North America, Asia and Latin-America.

“He is entrepreneurial, and has an attitude and outlook that are well aligned to Coty’s new ambition and culture.”

Coty has named a number of high profile appointments in recent months including Laurent Kleitman as President of Consumer Beauty; Andrew Stanleick as its new SVP of Consumer Beauty in Europe; and Sean Foster as Global SVP of e-commerce.
