The US company offers more than 800 pigments to bring a splash of colour to personal care products

Sandream Impact, the US-based colour cosmetics pigment supplier, has signed a European distribution agreement with specialty chemicals distributor Biesterfeld Spezialchemie.

The agreement will extend Sandream's range of more than 800 pigments for use in cosmetics products to customers across the DACH region, Eastern Europe and Turkey, drawing on Biesterfeld's expertise in the market.

Todd Ahern, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Sandream Impact, said: “With their strong presence in the assigned territory and their great spirit and knowledge, we are convinced that Biesterfeld is the right partner to represent our portfolio on the European market.

“We have a common understanding of how to optimally serve customers, and we are very excited to start our cooperation with Biesterfeld.”

Sandream offers a wide portfolio of pigments for cosmetics and personal care products, with ingredients from natural and synthetic mica, borosilicate glasses, bismuth oxychloride and aluminium to provide an extensive range of colours and effects.

Bettina Heick, Market Manager Personal Care at Biesterfield Spezialchemie, added: “We have a strong colour cosmetics expertise at Biesterfeld, and we are more than pleased that we can now also offer the Sandream Impact effect pigments to our customers.

“With Sandream Impact we have found the perfect fit for our existing portfolio, and we are now in the position to offer a one-stop shop to all our colour cosmetic customers.”

Known for continuously developing new ingredients in response to colour trends and market developments, Sandream's products include the ECOCERT-certified Ecosperse range, based on natural octyldodecyl olivate to provide formulators with sustainable cosmetics options.

The partnership follows the company's deal with Surfachem last month, which now distributes Sandream's portfolio across the UK.
