The trend for food-inspired formulations in cosmetics might not be new but, in keeping with the shift in consumer preferences in the food industry, more emphasis is now being placed on formulations inspired by popular superfoods.

Broccoli, blueberries and kale are just a few foods that are creeping into product ingredients lists, with much of the activity stemming from Asia, the US and the UK. . . .
