Prestige beauty brand Chanel has launched a trio of skin care products which are claimed to help “synchronise the skin's biological rhythms”. The line is based on the brand’s research into the ways in which lack of sleep can affect skin quality, including dryness, compromising elasticity and tone, uneven texture and loss of radiance. The new skin care line is said to help combat these by “reconnecting the natural rhythms of the skin”.

There are three products in total, designed for use in the day, night and weekend in response to the skin’s needs at various times of the week. For ease of use, the products have also been colour coded white, black and pearlescent, respectively. The day cream, Le Jour De Chanel uses jasmine extract to help the skin adapt to its environment, as well as salicylic acid for a boost of radiance. Next is La Nuit De Chanel, designed to soothe, shield and pamper the skin with its combination of frankincense extract and hyaluronic acid, and finally, Le Weekend De Chanel is claimed to help “reset” the skin and prepare it for the week ahead through softening rose water and a controlled release of AHAs to refine the skin.

Le Jour and La Nuit are priced at £60, while Le Weekend is £72. All three can be purchased together in a coffret for £172.
