  • Packaging and label brand manager to accelerate growth trajectory of the business – may include digital (pack, label and WTC)
  • Role focused on identifying, developing and executing new products/solutions within the segment (and promoting them)

Key responsibilities for role include:

  • dentification of market trends, customer and end user and influencer insights to develop new solutions for the packaging, label and retail support business
  • Based on insights, and working with R&D, successfully develop new products/solutions
  • Provide strategic level support for Consumer team on strategic initiatives (including growth opportunities) for the business; could also have marketing team in consumer report to him/her
  • Optimize the marketing mix (price, place, product, promotion) for packaging/label
  • Continually increase ROI associated with promotional efforts of the business
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to optimize the go to market strategy associated with existing and new product offerings
  • Provide internal and external training to sales organizations that will drive improved revenue

Candidate Background

  • Possesses track record of solid career progression; exceeding expectations whenever possible (and as best we can tell)
  • Background in B2B setting.
  • 5 to 15 years’ experience in marketing in packaging and/or label or like products. Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Likely spent significant (quality) time at a packaging company or companies
  • If not from a packaging company, then products that would have a similar type of go to market approach (working with focused, limited group of influencers). These companies would be more B2B focused, and focused on a semi-technical type of sale
  • History of working in new product/business development (marketing perspective) with strong strategic marketing skills (evaluation of markets, ability to determine right to win)
  • Has done brand and product marketing. Possesses some exposure to “classical” marketing, even as s/he may have spent time doing product development and new business development work.
  • Wants to move to smaller organization to make an impact, accelerate career growth versus waiting for an opportunity at a larger company
  • Strong track record of delivering results in current and previous roles; opportunity to improve talent
