The formula works to mattify shine and is said to smooth texture

Bioderma Laboratoire Dermatologique is set to launch a new skin-control moisturiser, Sébium Mat Control (£12.50), in April.

The dermo-cosmetics company has used Matte & Shine technology which combines hydrating glycerin with magnifying and perfecting powders; this works immediately to help keep skin smooth for eight hours.

Meanwhile, the formula’s biological sebum contains zinc and vitamin B6, which helps to combat shiny skin in the long-term.

The patented Fluidactiv also prevents the oxidisation of squalene - oxidised squalene blocks pores and allows bacteria to inflame.

In doing so, it prevents the appearance of imperfections.

Salicylic and agaric acid work with keratolytic and astringent to tighten pores and even the complexion.

The brand was founded by Jean-Noël Thorel, a French pharmacist, in the 1977.

Now it has over 1,000 employees and a global reach.
