French skin care brand Bioderma is due to unveil a new product that’s a first in its category for two reasons. Launching in April, the Hydrabio Eau de Soin not only claims to be the first water based facial mist with sunscreen but also showcases an innovative new design, featuring a perfume pump that allows for a controlled amount of product, minimising waste.

“We wanted to ensure that a very fine mist would be released, similar to a perfume, [and] therefore chose this packaging and spray nozzle,” explained Jeromine Kalfon, Head of Marketing Development at Bioderma. “Hydrabio Eau de Soin SPF 30 is the only facial spray on the market with this spray format. It allows for an even distribution of the product with a lightweight effect to coat the skin with an ultra fine layer. This packaging also allows you to choose the amount of product that you ‘d like to apply. Although it looks like an “aerosol”, it is not as it does not contain gas, which was very important to us.”
