With the controversy of chemical sunscreens causing damage to coral reefs, mineral sunscreens are becoming increasingly popular however, they are generally hard to stabilise and the TiO2 creates a very whitening product which is unwanted by the consumer. Valida works to stabilise the UV filters in the formulation and due to its large surface area and 3D network, creates a non-whitening mineral sunscreen that is easy is lightweight, hydrating and easy to rub in.
