Now in its eleventh year, Beyond Beauty Paris 2013 saw show organisers place an emphasis on helping exhibitors and visitors make the right connections, as Lucy Copp reports

The eleventh edition of Beyond Beauty Paris was a more intimate affair than in previous years being located on just one floor, as opposed to two the year before. However, the size of the show was not a precursor to the number of people that attended, with exhibitor and visitor numbers growing on 2012, up 2.3% and 2% respectively. Final figures revealed that 480 exhibitors and 21,500 visitors filled Pavillion 4 of the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre over three days from 9-11 September. The majority of visitors were once again domestic at 56%, however, the number of foreign visitors increased by 15%, with the most highly represented overseas countries being the UK, China, Italy and Germany.
