Beiersdorf appoints new head

Stefan F Heidenreich has been appointed to Beiersdorf AG’s executive board effective 1 January, 2012 and will take over as ceo following the company’s AGM on 26 April. Heidenreich, who has been ceo of the international Hero Group since 2002, will take the reins from Thomas B Quaas, who has headed Beiersdorf since 2005. After the AGM, Quaas will be elected to Beiersdorf’s supervisory board.

Commenting on his upcoming role, Heidenreich said: “Beiersdorf is an internationally leading skin care company with exceptionally well established global brands, remarkable innovative competencies, and great growth potential. I have great respect for how Beiersdorf has developed its Nivea brand into the world’s largest skin care brand, and I am looking forward to leading this fascinating company into the future together with all of its employees.”
