In responding to stringent SVHC limit on Cyclopentasiloxane (D5) in leave on application, BRB has upgraded its existing range of D5 alternatives with low cyclic level, i.e. BRB DM 55 and BRB 1417 (LC).
This will enable formulators to formula leave on personal care and cosmetic products with free of mind as BRB DM 55 and BRB 1417 (LC) provide same emolliency and similar volatile profiles as D5. These two products are based on linear polydimethylsiloxane with very low viscosity.
Silicone gum blends enjoyed an increasing success in the last few years. This, not only in the hair care applications where they are a major ingredient of hair serums, boosting smoothness, hair conditioning and heat protection benefits; but also in skin care and color cosmetics applications.
They are very convenient ingredients with multiple benefits and are in the meantime available in various carriers, allowing to achieve a very large band of volatility possibilities for the formulator to play with.

Finally, BRB SG 210 (INCI: Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone crosspolymer) is the latest addition to the silicone gel portfolio which conferred equal performance as industry benchmark. This is a key expansion to the existing range of silicone gels allowing BRB to provide latest technologies of crosspolymers to the formulators.
